We went out today and did a test shoot before we are going to the Tate and we spoke to Richard Cross who is a art tutor and has published artwork.
I am working towards a Documentary piece that is going to be produced at the Tate Liverpool on the work that is already there plus the Charline Von Heyl exhibition that is currently being shown.

Colour
I decided to use colour to help get across hope, fear and desire because to me certain colours represent different feelings etc, so i used different colours on photography portraits to change the colour to give of different emotions.

Sunflowers (1888) by Vincent Van Gogh
This painting of Vincent Van Goghs sunflowers show an instinctive understanding of color theory. In his 'Sunflowers' still life, he uses warm yellows to create an energetic image that radiates feelings of hope and joy.
The Tragedy (1903) by Pablo Picasso
On the other hand a more conscious use of colour theory is found in the paintings of Pablo Picasso 'blue period'. He chooses cool colors to evoke the chill of sadness and despair in 'The Tragedy', a typical subject from his work at this time. Thursday, 1 March 2012
